Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and scientifically minded Product Manager with a strong background in precision medicine, spatial omics, oncology, and/or pathology to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an MBA and relevant scientific discipline (MSc or higher), complemented by business acumen and a passion for bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and commercial applications. The Product Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our platform, identifying new use cases and markets, and cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders in the biopharmaceutical industry, clinical diagnostic labs, and academic organizations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product features, enhancements, and integrations that align with the needs of our commercial and R&D partners
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential areas for differentiation, with a focus on oncology and precision medicine
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the biopharmaceutical landscape, including industry challenges, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements
Work with senior leadership on strategic planning, collecting input and buy-in from sales, marketing, and R&D teams
Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop compelling messaging, collateral, and go-to-market strategies that drive awareness and adoption of our platform
Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders, providing insights and guidance on product capabilities, best practices, and scientific applications
Lead product demonstrations, training sessions, and workshops for customers and prospects, both virtually and in-person
Analyze results of marketing campaigns and product launches to continuously improve strategies and outcomes
Maintain frequent contact and foster strong relationships with strategic industry experts via field visits, meetings, and conferences to stay abreast of new market opportunities and maintain competitive positioning
Qualifications:
MBA or equivalent experience, and MSc or higher in a scientific discipline in precision medicine, oncology, immunology or pathology
Prior experience managing key opinion leaders and stakeholder management strongly preferred
2 years of relevant biopharmaceutical drug development experience preferred
Prior experience in product management or business-oriented role desired, with proven ability to manage multiple projects with quick timelines
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex scientific concepts into clear and compelling messages for diverse audiences
Ability to lead in a dynamic environment, pivot as needed, and simplify complexity
Team-oriented with demonstrated team leadership ability
Ability to travel as needed, up to 30%
Desired Skills and Background:
We highly value candidates with healthcare AI experience. Familiarity with medical imaging and pathology is a significant advantage. Strong leadership qualities for guiding teams, project management skills, a willingness to adapt and learn, and effective communication across diverse backgrounds are qualities that will truly stand out. Good code documentation practice and organization is also highly desired.
Location: Vancouver, BC. While we are primarily a remote company, there is an expectation to be able to travel to Vancouver for in person meetings on occasion.
Compensation:
$80,000 -$140,000 Base + equity potential
